Table Top Model Etching Presses Synchronized Pressure System Video
Synchronized pressure system.Printing pressure is adjusted form a single side of the press. Providing the ability to easily raise or lower the upper pressure drum in confined spaces and without the need to access both sides of the press. Pressure is adjusted with the turn of a torque wrench. The chain driven pressure system operates both the left and right hand pressure screws, moving the pressure drum up and down in synchrony.
Rotational felt system.
Included with the rotational felt system are a sizing catcher and a pusher blanket and cushion with velcro attachments. With the bed in the central position the velcro is attached at the top of the rotational blanket system. This system allows the blankets to be out of the way when printing.
Adaquate blanket length.
The blankets are long enough to print the full length of the press bed, without the need to reposition the felts. Moving the bed through its full travel reveals that the blankets are the correct length such that the velcro attachment points are never within the printing area.
Setting printing pressure.
Place all printing materials under the pressure drum to initally set the printing pressure. Placing a magnetic printing base down followed by an un-inked photopolymer plate and paper, the pressure is then set. While positioned over the magnetic base plate and paper, set the torque wrench to the desired pressure, lowering the drum until preset torque is achieved, this is made apparent by an audible "click".
Printing from photopolymer plate.
An inked photopolymer plate is placed on the magnetic base, and a print is pulled.
