Takach Floor Model Etching Press

Takach Floor Model Etching Presses stand on a sturdy steel frame, and feature 10" diameter drive drums powered either by hand or electric motor. The double reduction drive allows effortless hand cranking of the press while motorized presses reduce the fatigue of the professional printer. All Floor Model Press beds are manufactured from three inch thick, staggered grain, hard rock maple wood at the core sandwiched between solid sheets of aluminum creating a durable working platform suitable for the demanding environments of the academic and professional printmaking studio.

Takach Floor Model Lithography Press

Our Floor Model Lithography Presses pressure system will accommodate litho stones and aluminum plate Lithography with plate backers ranging in thickness from .25" to 4.125". The locking press bed allows the lithographer to fix the bed in an inking position when rolling up the image. The Clutch mounted crank on hand operate models disengages the crank handle from the press bed, allowing for rapid movement of the bed into and out of inking position. All floor model litho Press beds are protected by neoprene rubber stone cushions. A galvanized steel cover is installed over the cushion which resists the chemicals used in the lithography process and provides a durable working surface.

Your new press will be built to order and you will also receive an industry leading 20 year warranty.

There are other press options to consider such as transportation casters, tool and lubrication kits.
For your etching press you might consider a captains wheel, felt etching blankets, registration grids and protective press bed covers.
For you lithography press you might consider purchasing tympans sheets, scraper bars, and possibly furnish your studio with a litho stone levigator and hand inking rollers.
